SCC slick
Its easier than you think
1st steps
NOTE: PRECLEANING IS NOT RECOMMENDED*
- While backpedaling the bike coat each link with SCC SLICK
- Next slowly shift through all gear combinations
2nd steps
NOTE: A HIGH ABSORBENT TOWEL, PREFERABLY MICROFIBER IS RECOMMENDED FOR THE FOLLOWING STEPS
- While backpedaling, wipe rear derailleur pulley wheels until clean
- While backpedaling, wipe front chainring(s) inside and out until clean
- With towel in hand firmly grip chain and wipe thoroughly until chain feels slick to the touch and appears clean with slight sheen
- Wipe cassette unit clean with a slight sheen
3rd steps
- Get out and ride your bike - as you ride SLICK will continue to clean by pulling contamination out of your chain
- When you get back from the ride, repeat the 2nd set of steps to clean all the gunk that worked out of your chain to the outer links
- Reapply every 20 pedaling hours or when shifting performance decreases or if chain starts to make noise.
